Yup, that's me and my puppy Avery. She is 14 weeks old in this picture and growing like a weed!!! She has already doubled in size in the one month that we've had her and she will be 55 lbs full grown. Basset Hounds are the best!

I like orange. I painted my dining room chairs orange after chickening out from painting my entire kitchen orange. My love for orange kicked me in the butt once as a kid, because I always wanted the orange candy at restaurants after a meal. My brother knew this and found an orange candy on the ground full of lint and hairs. He wrapped it back up, and put it on the table. When I came back from the washroom, I ran to the table and declared, "I WANT the orange one!!!!" I know, I know, you're saying GROSS to yourself right now. Silly brother. I still love him. I'm excited that the hot color of this coming wedding season is tangerine! :)

I grew up in a small farming town in Saskatchewan called Vanguard. What? You haven't heard of the place?!? Haha. Most people haven't and if you blink, you may miss it if you drive by. It's about 40min from Swift Current. I moved to Calgary in 1999 to go to the Alberta College of Art and Design, and never left! Calgary (well Airdrie actually) is home now. I got married in Calgary in 2002, and most of my family has made this area home too! I'm a super easy-going but occasionally a fighter-for-justice kind of person. A few brides have told me that my demeanor is calming which they really appreciated on their big, stressy wedding day.

I could tell you about my Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography, but that's boring, right? Yes, I went to school for photography and it was great, but I have learnt 100 times more working as a full time photographer.
